    Thanks Bro, you gave me the idea about how to fish out my fallen pump. People were charging more than $1000 for the job and that too not giving any guarantee.. I made the same hook myself and attached a steel cable with it, it got stuck in same way like in your video.. and pulled it out with help of Hydra ... Took me one hour to retrieve it, as it was 300 foot deep down.... Thanks once again for your information.

    Love your content. My well pump failed during the night. I did call a well pump repair guy and I assisted him every step of the way, and I knew exactly what to do and expect thanks to your channel. I just needed his experience, help and his well dog. We got the whole system up and going today, to include replacing the PVC well pipe with new black poly, new wire, and a fancy electronic pump drive, a Pentek Intellidrive, and a new Berkeley 10 gpm 3/4 HP pump. The system works beautifully. I really appreciate your content.

    Just finished watching your video, I don’t have a well pump issue, but I do have a pressure tank bladder that failed. I figured I would watch your video just in case I ever have to replace the pump. While watching your video I had to laugh, I’m one of those people that works behind a computer from home. I’ve been a Sr. Network Engineer/Architect for about 15 years, It’s been my most rewarding career, and I’ve had many, everything from outside sales, truck driver, long haul owner operator (tanker), to a small business recycling company owner! Your video literally leaves no stone unturned with regards to install. My only question is, when I am forced to change the pump, what model has the best warranty, or best track record for longevity? Since I’m not in the industry, I must rely on somebody (trustworthy & knowledgeable) who’s been doing this a while, and you Sir fit the bill. I’ve watched tens of thousands of videos on UA-cam, from automotive to household DIY, seriously name a video or a project and I’m 99.999% sure I’ve watched one if not dozens on any given topic. The way you produce your videos, the content you provide, and your delivery, I didn’t even have to watch it on 1.5x speed, for me, that’s about the best compliment I can give you, there are maybe a handful of videos that earn that designation out of the tens of thousands. One last question I would have for you is, everything I’ve researched points to the well-X-trol being the best water pressure tanks for a well system, do you agree, or do you think there’s something better, or just as good? The price point on the Amtrol water tanks are hefty, but I’d feel more at ease with an expert opinion. FYI, I did hit the subscribe button, I also bookmarked your website, when the time comes, I’ll purchase products from you, it’s the best support I can give, with three kids and a wife, and this ridiculous administration we’re being forced to endure, times are tough!

    You often tell us you are in 2nd and then 3rd gear. What does that mean? Is it like a car transmission and the higher the gear the more pressure being applied in the fracking process?

    • @h2omechanic
      @h2omechanic 13 годин тому

      @woodworker3122 yes, it's a Muncy 4 speed. High gear means I'm spinning the pump faster, increasing the flow rate I'm injecting into the well.

    Why don’t you change the breaker to 220 and have a two wire 220 system? Far more efficient.! Also the next guy that changes the tank won’t put the same information on the new tank. That’s why for marking land the old timers used stone walls rather than trees.

    what might cause a no water situation but ONLY after over an hour of pumping? We have a lawn sprinkler system that was turned on for the season in May. The sprinklers run for a duration of 2 hours every other day and this system has been in service for ~8 years. This no water condition is a new phenomena this year. After pumping for over 1 hours time, there is no water in the line/tank. You can repeat the situation like clockwork but only after 1 hours time (it is not an intermittent issue). I am leaning toward this being a well/aquifer problem, not a pump issue - I think the well is running out of water to pump. Well pump age is questionable but it's not THAT old. We have had no pressure issues or other water issues any other time of day or with normal usage. This only happens when the sprinklers are in use for over an hour. To make matters worse, it's my father's water system and he REFUSES to believe there is a problem so my diagnosis has to be discreet until I can further conclude what the issue may be. He also refuses to turn the sprinklers off. :::facepalm::: thanks! Great content by the way!

    • @h2omechanic
      @h2omechanic День тому

      @lifestooshort81 possible that you are simply over Pumping the well. Needs more time to recover during heavy usage. Or you have a bad pressure tank, that'll cause the pump to cycle on/off/on/off alot more frequently which overheats the pump. After 5 minutes the pump would cool down and run again. Both have similar signs, so inspect your tank, make sure its not faulty. Bc if it is, it'll get worse over time.

    • @lifestooshort81
      @lifestooshort81 2 години тому

      @@h2omechanic thank you! Overpumping the well is my educated guess at this moment and the validation from a professional helps me work to prove my case (my father second guesses everything I say). Im planning on doing a static level test this weekend before and during the sprinklers running to confirm/debunk if it’s a water level thing. I don’t think the pressure tank is even filling enough/building enough pressure for the pump to cycle: I mean once the sprinklers turn on, the pump continuously runs to feed water to the sprinklers.

    Just bought a house. Well seamed to be working fine first few weeks. Now the exterior holding tank is empty its about 500Gal and I have 2 tanks like the one you have here except they are about 3-4 times the size. 1 seems full and the other is empty. 1. should I replace the full one? 2. Or should I check to see if there is dirt underneath the switch where you take a screwdriver and push it down into the coper line 3. The pump seems pretty old too although It seems to still be working good when the system was working. 4. The pressure gauge has water in it, is that normal or should I get a new gauge? 5. Should the tanks or pump or anything for the well be underneath a shaded area or should I build a cover for them? 6. Would you be willing to do a call or something to help me diagnose the problem for some sort of consultation fee? I really want to learn myself instead of someone trying to get me for hundreds if not more.

    What size PVC do you have going from the well to the house? Does your PVC diameter match the same as the hose you have from the pump up to the head or is it bigger? Hello, I stumbled upon one of your videos yesterday. And have been binge watching ever since. My wife and I are currently looking for property for a family compound location and retirement. A lot of the properties that we are finding are going to require a well done. And a couple of them have existing wells already. I'm sure somewhere in the comments or videos your location has been provided. But I have not yet found it. I know I could do a Google search of your company name and narrow it down. Hopefully you're in my area of Northern Alabama because I really like to hire you for potential work on our new property. I love the fact that your father is passing on a trade in a business and the fact that you want to carry it on. Great content great information and great camera work! Keep doing what you're doing and God bless!

    No comment on this video but I have a question. When is a pump control box required? Haven’t seen this discussed in any of your videos. My well (50 yrs old) had one on it but it was removed. I don’t use the well often ( lawn watering only because water is muddy) but I left it powered for 2 days and now the 9 yr old pump is burned out. Could the absence of the control box be a factor? I don’t know the pump size or depth.
